Sakahàn, meaning “to light [a fire]” in the language of the Algonquin peoples, is the National Gallery of Canada’s largest survey of recent Indigenous art.

Highlighting over 150 works by more than 75 artists from around the world, , this exhibit includesimpressive installations created specifically for the project.
One of the Gallery’s most ambitious contemporary art exhibitions to date, Sakahàn will extend to partnering venues in the Ottawa region and abroad
