These are three of the most renowned courses in the Augusta area. Jones Creek, designed by Rees , was once rated as Georgia's "#1 public course". Though the course is now private, Partridge Inn guests have been extended playing privileges. The River Course is a challenging layout along the banks of the Savannah River designed by Jim Fazio. It was nominated for Golf Digest's Best New Course in America for 1998. The Mount Vintage Plantation Golf Course was designed by Tom Jackson in 2000. It has been chosen as the annual site of the Asahi Ryokuken LPGA Tournament. Last September the course proved itself against the assaults of Anika Sorrenstam and Karrie Webb.
